Its super simple and works flawlessly.

I'm not killing lircd before running it, so lircd mustn't be connecting to the ftddi device. In any case I've got constant problems getting my wifi working and it's a mess trying to do anything next to the router, so again I'm putting this on hold whilst Liec sort out other issues. It reinforces my belief that either: AHPG-A devices being controlled by this remote: As with irrecord, mode2 can be used to decode and output the IR signal of a remote that uses space encoding, again explicitly specifying the device and driver: I thought it was just to do with the luminosity and angle of half intensity.

What is the voltage accross R2, it should be roughly 0. If you can use mode2 which connects directly to the device then lircd must fdi be running, but maybe you kill before running mode2? The device driver has been specified in the hardware. Fill in your details below or click an icon to log in: Therefore, to target the transmitter device, the socket file for the transmitter lircd instance is specified:.
I got all that working, finding the right remote file, compiling and installing lirc, etc. Refer to the other LIRC documentation for instructions on how to test receiving with irw and transmitting with irsend.
The one I ended up using was BC, which when I looked at the datasheet pdfs, didn't seem altogether different from the BC If that wen't well, great. If you are having trouble sourcing components where you live, I can only recommend ebay. Maybe you can measure the resistance between gnd on the loose cable and gnd on the pi, just make sure power is off when doing it.
Using irrecord and mode2 Using the serial number, the following command line can be constructed to start the irrecord program. Here's what mine looks like. To do so, you lidc need to have universeand multiverse enabled. You can either connect it to an external power supply, just make sure that the ground from the external supply is connected with ground on the Raspberry Pi as you need a common ground as reference. As with irrecord, mode2 can be used to decode and output the IR signal of a remote that uses space encoding, again explicitly specifying the device and driver:.
The BC has more headroom where the maximum collector current is mA. By continuing to use this website, you agree to their use. You are commenting using your Facebook account.

The original remote will pulse as long as you hit the button. Notify lirf of new posts via email. When restarting the lirc service, the lircd instance will now be aware of the remote file.
